HackerRank is a technology hiring platform founded in 2012 by Vivek Ravisankar and Hari Karunanidhi, both NIT Trichy alumni. Headquartered in Mountain View, California, HackerRank helps companies objectively evaluate developer talent at every stage of the recruiting process through coding challenges, technical interviews, and skills assessments.

The platform serves as the standard for assessing developer skills, used by thousands of companies worldwide. Originally starting as a bug bounty-style platform, HackerRank pivoted early to focus on technical hiring after raising a Series A led by Khosla Ventures. The company has offices in Mountain View and Bangalore, with a London office serving EMEA customers.
